Our client, a leading Government organization into Oil & Gas industry in Abu Dhabi is looking out to hire a candidate with the following qualifications and experience.



GEOPHYSICIST

This position required to carry out detail structural interpretation for reservoirs and non-reservoirs intervals including high velocity channels and anomalies on 3d seismic data. Detail fault interpretation using 3d volume attributes. Conduct fault throws and fault seal analysis studies. Build velocity model and depth surfaces. Reservoir property mapping (porosity, facies) in seismic resolution using post-stack data. Fracture mapping using post-stack attributes (dip, azimuth, coherency and curvature). Co-ordinate advance studies, with service companies and or shareholders, such inversion, detail fracture analysis and pre-stack depth migration processing to improve seismic imaging. Access and assess advance geophysics technologies for detail reservoir characterization and monitoring.

Qualifications:

Candidate should have Bachelors or Masters Degree in geophysics with 15-20 years of industry experience in 2D and 3D Seismic data to solve complex problems. Good communication skills and technical report writing skills in English is necessary.



STRUCTURAL GEOLOGIST

The main job purpose is structural analysis/interpretation and 3D modeling utilizing large-scale reservoir structural geology and geomechanics data, scales of study to cover core, well, outcrop and seismic. This will involve interpreting and integrating all technical aspects of structural geology, trap definition and validation, kinematics, fault geometries, fault property prediction, with some exposure to fracture characterization, modeling and geomechanics using seismic and other available data. A high level of integration will be expected with other subsurface disciplines such as imaging logs, drilling data and reservoir engineering.

Major roles:

Carry out regional structural analysis/interpretation and mapping based on 3D seismic and reservoir well data. Understand structural styles and timing of folding and faulting in Abu Dhabi and relate to the overall plate tectonic history of the entire Arabian plate.
Qualifications:
Should have Bachelor's degree in Geology.
Min 10 years industry experience in understanding and applying structural geology to solve complex problems. Experience in using structural modeling restoration tools. Experience in using seismic data to solve complex problems in the reservoirs.
